James Bay played a sold out show to a packed o2 academy of dedicated and excited fans on the 1st of June.
After about 7 hours queueing we made it to the front row ensuring great views for the night
(Front row glow sticks are a must right )
(Extra perk of been early we got to meet James outside)
Through the set Bay showed he is a fantastic live performer moving around the stage with high energy passionately playing guitar when the song called from it to moments I can only refer to as magical with his and stripped down moments of softer songs showcasing his vocals captivating a now silent crowd.
Bay played a mix of newer songs from recent album ‘Electric Light’ including singles ‘Wild Love’ and ‘Pink Lemonade’ to older popular tunes such as ‘Let It Go’ and ‘Hold back the river’ and many more. Providing something for everyone in the crowd.
Taking time occasionally in between songs to thank the audience and show his gratitude but unlike other artist I’ve seen not going into the process of writing songs / stories or jokes which may of added to an already amazing show.
Overall the atmosphere was electric and left me and I’m sure the rest of the crowd wanting more.
Thank you for reading comment below if you’ve seen James bay before and your experience or if you’d like to!
